VOLLMER & NILLSON

Anders Vollmer & Martin Nillson
Martin Vollmer and Anders Nilsson are two brothers (Actually half-brothers, which explains their different family names) living in Malmö, Sweden. Malmö, the third largest city of Sweden, is located in the province of Scania in the very southernmost part of the country. Up until 1658, Scania was part of Denmark, and they still feel a close bond to their Danish neighbours. Indeed, Sixten Ivarsson, considered the father of modern Danish pipe-making, originally came from Scania. All of the brothers pipes have handcut Ebonite Bits and feature superb craftsmanship.
BERTRAM SAFFERLING

Bertram Safferling was born in Heidelberg, Germany. He studied design and engineering at the National Academy of Cultural Arts in Stuttgart, and since 1981 he has been an independent designer with an emphasis on pipe design. He is quite well known in Europe, and has had two of his pipes displayed at the Munich Museum of Contemporary Design. Bertram Hand Crafts all his pipes using the highest grade briar along with stems he hand-cuts himself from top quality rod stock. Safferling pipes offer an exceptional smoke, and represent an outstanding value in handmade pipes. The U.S. market receives only about 60 of the approximately 150 pipes Bertram makes each year!
GREGOR LOBNIK

Gregor Lobnik is a young pipe carver from Slovenia. Trained as an engineer, Gregor learned some of his pipe making skills from Peter Matzhold and was a finalist in the 2004 Pipes & Tobaccos carving contest. Gregor's pipes reflect much of a "Danish" nature. Lobnik has a penchant for all pipes and utilizes Italian briar, generally using natural finishes. Lobnik Pipes offer a fantastic value in a high grade pipe. Gregor's pipes reflect much of a "Danish" nature. I believe Gregor has a very bright future in the pipe carving world.
